[a in love with m] wedding day: milni

We all filled a small room in the temple with little lighting, but it gave the next ceremony such a beautiful reverent atmosphere.

When the groom's barat reaches the wedding venue, the Milni ceremony is peformed. The bride's relatives give a warm welcome to the groom and his relatives with flower garlands. This is done is descending order, beginning with the eldest.

I thought this was a truly wonderful way to say that this was now one family!

The Milni begins with prayer (or a speech?) I couldn't understand this part :)

The exchange of the garland begins. I absolutely loved this part.

First the grandparents

Then the fathers

The brothers began nicely, but progressed into a friendly rastle, but it's all good!

There was a brief fake-out between the sisters, but they hugged A instead.

The mothers were simply beautiful.
