[kenny in love with patricia] dallas engagement love shoot
I am just beyond ecstatic to post this session! On a unusually blistering cold January afternoon, Kenny, Patricia, and I frolicked about town to shoot their love shoot.
Kenny and Patricia are pretty special to me...in fact, I probably owe the inception of lynn in love photo to them. I've known them for a long time now as Kenny, my husband, and I went to school together, and Kenny was my husband's roommate all throughout medical school and up to when we got married! Kenny is a smart and sweet man of God and Patricia is his spunky and adorable counterpart and I was so excited to hear that they were finally tying the knot!
Well, it was much to my surprise when they approach me back in August to see if I could photograph their wedding! This was when I was just photographing for fun, doing shoots for loved ones. I was really hesitant at first, but it was Kenny & Patricia's confidence in my work that really made me evaluate my photography and helped me realized how much I loved it! A few awesome shoots later, I knew I had to try out portrait photography at least part time... and so far it's been a dream come true.
Unfortunately, this was our third reschedule for their winter engagement shoot because of unforeseen circumstances and inclement weather... and even on this last reschedule, it was an incredibly cold and dreary day to shoot outdoors. But Kenny and Patricia toughed it out and worked it out at our sessions like rockstars! I had scouted an awesome junkyard for a possible location and have been saving it up for this special couple. It turned out awesome!
Guys, thanks for smiling so beautifully for me even though it was 30 degrees out and I am so excited about our Spring Love Shoot and of course your amazing wedding in July 2010!!
We started out at a playground and you can totally see Kenny & Patricia's playful personalities come out!
I'll be honest, and tell you that I'm IN LOVE with all the following pictures. The location was so fun with great props, and Kenny and Patricia's outfit and personalities just popped!
"P" for Patricia! Ha... we couldn't find a K for Kenny... but I don't think he minded. :)
An updated "American Gothic" for ya!
We ended up in the West Village for some last cold urban shots!
We finished our session at Starbucks to warm up our bodies and pull out the scrabble board! Haha... I think Patricia wanted to get away with me not doing a "feet" shot... but I got it aways :) Cute!
Thanks guys for your support, love and playing in the cold with me!

You are AWESOME! Thank you Lynn!
these photos are great! love the scrabble pics!
These are just AMAZING.
Lynn that "junkyard" is AMAZING. And I don't think it deserves to be called a junkyard! You make me realize I need to go location scouting. So many fabulous photo ops in one spot!
Thanks so much for the comments, dears! Warms my heart!
Great photos! Do you mind if I ask where the junkyard is?
