[opie in love with mary] wedding
Two weekend ago, I accompanied the fab Jenna Cole to second shoot the wedding of lovely Mary and Opie. Wow, I simply loved this fall wedding. Mary was able to design a wedding that was simple, classic, and stunning all at once. I loved her vintage styling and DIY details. It really was all perfect. The day was chilly, but the overcast skies provided amazing light for photos. The ceremony and reception was filled with love and joy from the happy couple and their families. Congratulations, Mary and Opie, may your marriage be as wonderful as your wedding day! This is a huge post since I loved the pictures so much!
Look at the gorgeous details. Mary purchased this beautiful vintage sheath from a consignment shop. I was in love with the train. She made her wheat bouquets, birdcage veil, and garter herself.
Check out her fingerwaves! So charming!
Um, Mary, you are beautiful!
We arrived at the ceremony/reception site at Firewheel Golf Park to find the cutest bunting flags decorating the site.
Their bridal party were decked out in brown, and were all so sweet and funny.
Don't you just adore them? They look like straight out of my Anne of Green Gable fantasies.
Mary's dress framed her irish/celtic tatoo oh-so-perfectly.
The ceremony was sweet and heartfelt.
The reception was warm with candlelight
How cute is this couple. I love when a couple kicks out tradition and infuse their wedding with their own individual style and personality. They served pie and a hamburger buffet instead of cake and the usual wedding fare.
You all know I love a photobooth! Mary and Opie made their's Star Trek themed complete with a cardboard cutout of Captain Kirk and a Yoda doll! The guests loved it!
As the chilly night set in, the guest warmed up by dancing to irish jigs and a wonderful mix of songs that the bride's brother dj'ed for them. Did I forget to mention that Mary was rockin' some red heels? Yeah, she totally did.
Really. The night was perfect. Just perfect.
